Who in the Fortified Fantasy is Joe Fagnano?
The Williamsport Millionaire who played his way onto Baltimore’s roster.
By Dub · November 3, 2026
Williamsport is just up the road from Fortified Fantasy headquarters. This Thursday, it might feel a little closer to Baltimore.
Joe Fagnano is in line to start against Jacksonville after Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley were injured in Buffalo. Fagnano is dealing with an ankle injury himself. If he gets the call, the rest of the country will be catching up to a story that started on West Fourth Street. Ravens practice report
A Millionaire before he was a Raven
The 2019 Williamsport Area High School graduate earned all-state honors and played in the East–West All-Star Game. He could hurt defenses on the ground, too. NEPA Football credits him with 956 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns in high school. He arrived at Maine as a walk-on and earned a scholarship in fall camp. UConn bio · NEPA Football profile
Maine found out first
Fagnano threw for 445 yards and five touchdowns against Liberty in his first start as a true freshman. He finished 2019 with 17 TD passes in eight games and won Maine’s offensive rookie award. His three longest touchdown throws that year went for 90, 88 and 87 yards, the three longest in program history at the time. Maine career bio · Liberty game and Gold Helmet award
Passing yards at each stop
Selected college seasons. The spring and fall 2021 seasons were separate schedules. Bars share a 3,500-yard scale.
The UConn comeback
A shoulder injury cut his first season in Storrs short. He returned in 2024 and won offensive MVP of the Fenway Bowl against North Carolina. Then came 2025: 28 touchdown passes, one interception, a school-record 161.03 efficiency rating and a 9–3 regular season. His 446 yards at Florida Atlantic were a career high. UConn career recap
Three preseason games changed the depth chart
Fagnano went undrafted and got a rookie minicamp opportunity in Baltimore. Skylar Thompson’s camp injury opened a path to the third quarterback job. Fagnano completed 74.7% of his passes for an NFL preseason-high 509 yards, with three TDs and one interception. He made the initial 53 behind Jackson and Huntley. Baltimore hadn’t opened with three quarterbacks since 2020. Ravens camp retrospective · Baltimore roster announcement

What it means for Thursday
Fagnano went 10-of-21 for 91 yards and an interception in his NFL debut at Buffalo. I’m rooting for the hometown kid, and I’d leave him on the bench in one-QB leagues. In Superflex, he’s emergency cover once his status is confirmed. Our full-PPR lean is still Zay Flowers over Jameson Williams, with 14.9 points as the conservative Flowers estimate. Jaguars–Ravens lineup preview
Kickoff is Thursday at 8:15 PM ET. If Fagnano takes the first snap, Williamsport will have a good reason to stay up. Official Week 9 schedule
